Spread across two, 3-hour sessions, this course will provide you with the skills to leverage ARCHICAD’s inbuilt rendering engine to create impressive presentation visuals. Throughout the course, intermediate and advanced users will enjoy learning a variety of best practices and tips to achieve stunning results.

  • Camera vs. Generic Perspective

Lighting – 120 minutes

  • Lamp Tool: Light Fixtures vs. Light Sources
  • Custom Light Fixtures
  • Lighting an Interior Scene
  • IES Lights

  • Size Matters: Rendering Resolution vs. the 3D Window
  • Physical Renderer
  • Balancing Quality vs. Render Time
  • Light Mapping, Monochrome Model
  • General Options
  • Special Effects
  • Managing your Presets

 

Surfaces – 60 minutes

  • Creating a Surface from the Catalog vs. Starting from Scratch
  • Surface Channels
  • How to pronounce ‘Fresnel’
  • Variation, Parallax and enhanced Reflectance
  • Image Texture-based Surface
  • Create a Procedural Shader-based Surface
  • Texture Mapping
  • Coordinating CineRender and OpenGL

Extras – 60 minutes

  • The Terroir approach
  • ‘Who lives there?’ – Assets
  • Free Post-processing
